What inspired you to study subjects within the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)?

My drive to become an engineer inspired me to study my chosen A levels. I like subjects that are thought provoking and a bit challenging, so I knew this combination would be interesting. Additionally, these were my favourite subjects at GCSE level, so I was more excited at the aspect of studying them at A level than some of the other subjects.

Which subject do you enjoy the most and why?

In Maths and Physics, I see so many connections and overlaps between the two subjects and how they are actively applied in the real world, which is a lot more fascinating than learning things on a theoretical basis. These subjects are very practical and require a certain amount of problem solving, which I quite like. However, it can be brain taxing, but it makes you feel a lot more accomplished when you finally do get to the answer. Furthermore, I really enjoy experiments and understanding how and why things work the way they do, which is how I’ve been inspired to study Engineering at a higher level.
