What interests you the most about subjects within the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)?

The ability to explore concepts which link to the working of our universe, as well as create projects and experiments that allow for a more interactive way of learning whilst having a strong logical theoretical basis.

How do you feel the scholarship has helped you so far?

The scholarship allowed me to have the opportunity to visit the Aluminium smelter and see the hydroelectric power plant, whilst also helping to fund project materials for my electronic and robotics project. Going to visit the plant in Fort William showed me the scale of some engineering projects with the massive amounts of power to produce the aluminium.

How has the programme changed the way you think about your career choices?

Studying computing physics and mathematics have helped me narrow down my passions. I particularly enjoy computing and how, with a few lines of code, great problems can be solved that would otherwise have taken years to solve. I have recently completed many coding challenges and have applied to study it at university.
