Aiming for success in Industrial Cadet awards

Date Posted: 29 October 2019

The Foundation is in its third year of partnering with Industrial Cadets, an initiative inspired by His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales and delivered by the Engineering Development Trust, which is a UK wide education charity, working in collaboration with industry, education and partners to provide STEM opportunities for young people of all ages.

The annual awards event promises to be a real celebration and recognition of excellence and achievement of the emerging young talent in the UK. Submissions from the Foundation are based on work carried out between November 2017 and Spring 2019, and the shortlisted entries are:

  • Challenger Award – STEM event with Liberty Steel and Bolton Lads and Girls Club

  • Silver Award – a week-long skills camp hosted by Liberty Steel in South Yorkshire, alongside Rotherham College and Sheffield College

  • Changemaker – Claire Neilson

  • Strategic Partner – GFG Foundation

Winners will be announced on the 21 November at the Industrial Cadet Awards event, which takes place at The Institution of Engineering and Technology in London.
